Denílson Pereira Neves, known as Denílson (born on February 16, 1988 in São Paulo, Brazil) is a Brazilian footballer who usually plays as a midfielder. He is currently the captain of the Brazilian national side at Under-19 level.
São Paulo career
He started his career at São Paulo, where he was part of the side that won the 2005 Copa Libertadores and the 2005 FIFA Club World Cup. However, he was "basically a reserve" for São Paulo, having only 12 appearances for the club in the year (four as a starter)
